Value Painting

another one I did for class...! So fun to be painting!

Color project coming up next :D

EDIT: Hey look, a glimpse at my process! (this reads left to right, not top to bottom like the other one)

Self-Caricature

It's-a me!

DFA!

This semester I have a Drawing for Animators course and I'm having tons of fun with it.

For this assignments, we created characters based on shapes we saw in silhouettes, scribbles, and miscellaneous textures.... and I also had to combine a kangaroo and a train. Challenging!

Enjoy!

Orange in blue

Just something weird and fast I did for fun!

This is a character I like to revisit every few years just to see how my art's progressing. Here are the 2008 and 2005 versions.

Some characters...

I normally don't post my commissions on here... but I was just thinking, why not? They're valid.

I do a lot of character designs/portraits for people (mostly on deviantart, and mostly in a digitally-colored pencil-sketched style). Here's a tiny sampling. for many more, visit my DA!

Louisiana Flowers

Hey there!

I did some watercolor paintings and it was requested that I post them here. Unfortunately, however, I forgot to scan them before they were sold. So all I have are these awful phone photos.

The commissioner requested different Louisiana plants... so I did the magnolia (the state flower), water lilies (because...we have swamps) and day lilies (pretty common around here), in that order. I used a type of paper I never had before, that allowed me to apply colors in layers... I had fun figuring it out as I went.

Enjoy!

Reliving the Glory Days
